Match Day!

Today is the day we've been waiting for: Match Day! Eric found out this morning that he matched at one of his top choices for an ophthalmology residency program. Any guesses? Here's a clue:

OK, another:
Yes! We're going to Madison, Wisconsin! We're all thrilled, and the boys are already making plans for some serious igloo-building. His training there will begin in July 2010, after a one-year internship program (we'll find out about the internship match in March).

We'll either be moving June 2009 or June 2010, but we won't be sure until we figure out where we'll do the prelim year. We'll see!

AMES! Congratulations. Do you know anyone there? Alan was from Wisconsin, but I don't know if he was anywhere close to Madison. Let me know if you'd like his email.

Best,
Leah

So it looks like you might be moving twice in the next two years. What is your moving span after that? Kyle likes Madison. I'm sure that doesn't have anything to do with it not being too far from his beloved St. Louis and Nauvoo stomping grounds. Are you already practicing saying Wisconsin the "right" way? Congratulations!

Wisconsin! Congratulations, that should be a new adventure for the Brintons! I only wish it was a step towards Texas instead of away from it.

Hooray! Congrats. What a fun adventure! I was hoping to get in one more race with you, though! :)

Hooray and congratulations to the Brintons! Leah brought your match news to my attention. Best wishes for your transitional year match in March! Residency is significantly less painful than I initially anticipated, although Matt might not agree.
